My V2 display is getting dark area on the upper left side of the display, as if the screen is going bad.

Does your V2 have adjustable contrast (blue case)...?

I would also like to purchase a replacement screen for my v2. im located in Perth, Australia. I'm comfortable changing out the screen daughterboard myself.

Do you want to send it away for repair, or are you handy with soldering electronics...?

I am pretty good with the silver metal stuff. In fact was eying a new soldering station, I just got through making a few electronic projects (flash 4 times then solid, brake light module) for our motorcycles.
So, a rookie but can do. I am kind of a -- jack of all trades, a master of none.

So what is the operating temperature of the display, how cold or hot before showing signs of failure?

I'm not sure about the specifics of the display, but we do provide a range of operating and storage temperatures in our product information, here. https://www.efilive.com/flashscan-v2

Can we get a price on replacement only part for the screen & it's daughterboard please.

Perhaps even add it the store so we can order them?

Thanks Cindy,
Just what I was looking for. The day the screen appeared to be failing I was using it in 28* weather, why, cause the wife's truck was throwing a code and she freaks out when the little orange light comes on. I had never used it at that temperature before so was just trying to narrow down what might be causing the failure after not seeing any indication of a problem in the past. Will plug it in in the house after it acclimates to the inside temperature and see if I see the black spot in the upper left hand corner.
What is the perceived life span of the display?

Just to update -- I have since started the V2 in a warmer environment and the screen did respond correctly. SO the cold must have been the cause of the blacked out area in the screen. To cold, imagine that, I was too that day.
