Help with different shift patterns

On a 2010 Silverado with a 4l60e under general parameters it says shift pattern ( a )= pattern 1

And looking at { D1001 } for instance is has several columns including normal , shift pattern A , hot , and pattern b

My question is would normal be normal driving and " pattern 1 " be driving with the tow/haul mode on ? I'm trying to change just the tow haul mode settings only and unsure exactly which parameters are considered the tow haul mode

You may have to do some experiments (set various different speeds in the different shift pattern VSS shift tables, and see which mode corresponds to which pattern).

That's what I was thinking but I was hoping someone has messed with this before
