I am tuning a engine swap, we are using an early 2000 5.3L lower and a 2007 Tahoe intake, injector rail, throttle body, using a E40 control module. The engine has had a large camshaft installed. I have successfully gotten the engine to run and even idle, however it is really rich and is extremely sluggish, back firing (intake and exhaust) when trying to accelerate. Not setting any codes not even a rich O2. Exhaust headers glowing red when running over 1500 RPM's. Anyone have any suggestions?

Joe attached is my tune file.

After pulling data and searching through it, I have found that no matter what I set the AFR to when scanned it always shows as .50:1 commanded, also no matter what I set the spark timing table to be at it shows on scanned data as 0 degrees and goes more negative when accelerating the engine. After finding this, I am getting another module sent to me to program, I think that this one is BAD....... We will see if the new one will actually command the correct numbers after programming, this should stop the overheating exhaust headers and the backfiring as well.

After pulling data and searching through it all, no matter where I set AFR to it always stays @ .50:1 and no matter where I set timing to be it always stays @ 0 degrees and fall into the negative numbers when accelerating the engine. I am going to try a new module, I think this one is BAD..................
