Currently known issues and possible workarounds for the Jan 2015 release of the EFILive V7.5.7.275, V8.2.2.269 software and the V2.07.76 FlashScan and AutoCal firmware.

Note: Issues 2 thru 9 have been fixed. The fixed version is available here: https://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?25137-Update-Feb-2051

Issue 1:
If you are Black Box Logging PIDs from an ECM and TCM simultaneously and you have selected a PID from the transmission controller (TCM) that has an identically named PID in the engine controller (ECM), then when the log file is loaded back into the V8 software for viewing, that TCM PID will be displayed as if it originated from the ECM. The PID's data will have correctly been logged from the TCM, only its name will appear to indicate that it was logged from the ECM.
Workaround:
None. It is a restriction of the *.efi (V7.5 log file format). That restriction will be removed and the TCM PIDs will display their true origin once the V8 scan tool software is available.
Issue 2:
All A50 *.calz files are corrupt which means A50 tune files cannot be opened/edited using the V7.5 software.
Workaround:
Download the attached A50.zip file and unzip the three *.calz files into the folder: \Program Files (x86)\EFILive\V7.5\Calibrations\A50, overwrite the existing files. Will be fixed in the next update. Issue 3:
In the V8 [F5: BBX]->[F6: Quick Setup] window, the name of the currently loaded quick setup file is not displayed above the list of quick setup files.
Workaround:
None. Will be fixed in the next update.
Issue 4:
For LML tune files, changing the VIN using the V7.5 software does not change the VIN displayed by the V8 software.
Workaround:
Change the VIN using the V8 software: [F3: Tune]->[F4: Properties]->[Controller Information] page, then click on the [...] button to the right of the VIN. Will be fixed in the next update.
Issue 5:
The timing calculator is not available on some Cummins fuel tables.
Workaround:
None. Will be fixed in the next update. Issue 6:
Updating FlashScan/AutoCal configuration files using the [Check Firmware] button on the main V8 window, then disconnecting and reconnecting FlashScan/AutoCal, some config files are reverting back to their old versions.
Workaround:
Perform the [Check Firmware]->[Update Files], then perform the following: [F5: BBX]->[F2: Scan]->[Read], then [Program Selections Only (faster)]. That will correctly flush the buffers. It will be fixed in the next update. Will be fixed in the next update. Issue 7:
Black Box Logging does not log data for GM controllers.
Workaround:
None. Updated firmware will be posted ASAP. Issue 8:
Wide band O2 serial interface data logging does not work.
Workaround:
None. Updated firmware will be posted ASAP. Issue 9:
Some E92 table axis are defined incorrectly
Workaround:
None.

Not really a bug, but when using the quick setup screen in V8 the software used to display the selected quick setup file name where I have in red in the screenshot. Now it does not, kind of nice to double check that the correct setup file is being loaded.17970

Yes it is a bug, that field is being obscured by the top of the file list. Fixed in next update.

Ive noticed that changing LML vins in V7.5 does not migrate over to V8. Truck doesnt seem to mind but its nice to keep track of what was previously open in the V8 window.

I'm investigating the problem.

Meanwhile if you change the VIN using the V8 software the change will be visible in both the V7.5 and the V8 software. To change the VIN in the V8 software, use the [F3: Tune]->[F4: Properties]->[Controller Information] page. Click on the [...] button to the right of the VIN.

With V8 Scan and Tune open, and V2 connected, select the Check Firmware option, update firmware. Once on Jan 27 firmware select Update File to update config The config files appear to program and switch from x check boxes to tick check boxes.

Disconnect FlashScan, close V8, reconnect and open V8, select firmware again and the config files revert to x check boxes requesting an update.
