Hey guys, im trying to match up the current stock file that I have in my truck at the moment, im getting a calibration id 12351331am, when I look for that exact one on the website I cant seem to find that exact one. The trucks a 12 ram 3500 with the 68re. Also is there any correlation between the vin on the truck and the cal id? Thanx in advance

Likely there isn't an exact match but likely a superseded Cal.

Yep, your latest calibration ends in "AN"

Ok, so then would any of the "AN" files work?

It is the numbers that are the critical things to watch as they determine the vehicle model/configuration the calibrations are for.
For example on your 2012 3500 they have all these releases.

12351331AG
12351331AI
12351331AK
12351331AL
12351331AM <<

You could use any of those if your existing tune matches any of the numbers in the list (you are already on the latest), the calibration has also been updated many times as shown by the letters to confuse matters. The system is not the best but it is ok once you get your head around what they've tried to do.

ok, so I understand that now. so now my only thing is I still don't see my exact tune. also, is there a miss print on the website? I see to identical tunes, 12350331AN its listed twice.

Turk88:

Did you find the tune you were looking for, 12351331AM / N ?
the depositfile site only has 2 copys of 12350331an.
I am looking for the first tune as well.

Well, there is 2 different 12350331AN files on the site, one is described to be for a 2500 truck and the other is for a 3500 truck. My trucks a 3500 truck so I decided to flash that 12350331AN for a 3500 into my truck. Truck ran fine with it so I decided to run that as my base file. I know its not the exact file but I figured I would give it a try. I am not saying that it will work for you but it worked for me. But if anybody has the file 12351331AM or AN please share it bellow. hope that helps you out a bit.

Hello Turk88:
Good to see that it worked OK. I have been told that 12350331AN and 12351331AN when compared show as being the same. I am still not 100% convinced of that thou because I do not know all the other parameters that are NOT part of the compare, IE: transmission functions, gearing compensations, etc. If all were truely the same, I would think Dodge would NOT have assigned a differant part number for the 3500 4x4. When you're gonna mess with the ECM in a $65k truck and kill all warranty in the process, you want to be certain about the whole process. I will see if I can get the file from Techauthority, if I cannot obtain it anywhere else.
TNX for the reply and the info given
