New pcm

I just put a new pcm in my 97 chevy truck. The pcm had a 2002 chey express van tune on it. I put a tune I downloaded for an L31 motor with a 4L-80 and 4wd. The truck starts and seems to run fine. When I look at the calibration file it still says some other VIN in it. Is there some other place that stores the VIN because Ive changed it.

You have to use the V7 Scan Tool and change the VIN, just changing it in the tune wont do it (even with a full flash). Some trucks (Cummins?) do via tune, most require you to manually update it via BiDi control. Bidirectional->Change VIN.
