Easy, slam the VVT shut under low load conditions causing the turbo to spin at a much higher RPM than what most guys call for in their tunes.

Yes thats how I suspect they are doing it. And yes you need a VVT turbo to manipulate it like that.

Interesting, kinda cool feature to discover complete waste tho. Thanks for answering so fast.

All that is, is the vanes closing up a bunch at low tq lower-mid rpm range and then opening back up again...

I made an "auto eb" at high idle doing something similar. The joys of a VGT

I wish i could make a none VGT do it. Not a priority just something to have fun with.

If you want a loud non VGT then cut in a larger turbine wheel into your 351cw.

I rather leave the turbo alone, if i could tune it in a 5.9 i would just to give it a shot but I dont care enough it modify my turbo

I just modified my stock turbo by putting a 64 mm 10blade turbine in my stock turbo with a wicked wheel on the others side. It starts to spool about 1250 rpm and hits hard about 1450-1500. If you're looking for a loud turbo for cheapish price that will do the trick. My EGt's are higher than I would like, I think it is because I am running to stock tunning (I have a 07) and have 03 Pistons/ 100hp 03 tips.

Sorry I missed this. Yeah I have a 363 going in the truck soon. So no need to change turbo wheels.
