View Full Version : Weird Throttle CrackerIssue

Hi, I am having this weird issue where My truck will have the cruise control effect. I have zeroed out the throttle cracker values from 400 to 1600 RPM's, while monitoring the Throttle Cracker in the scan tool, the moment TC is activated (via the speed threshold), I see Values ( anywheres from 0.12 to 0.38) g/s coming from the TC pid, I am commanding 0 so where and what is commanding these values? I've been trying to figure it out now for over a week and have reached my limit!

look at throttle follower.

The follower remains at 0 g/s according to the scan tool, which it should be as I am not even touching the throttle. If I get off the brake after a stand still, it slowly accelerates and once it reaches the TC speed threshold (5km/h) you can feel the truck accelerate even more, it will reach about 27km/h on it's own. I increased the speed threshold to 15 km/h and now it will climb up to about 8km/h since the TC remains at 0g/s. Which again does not make sense since I zeroed out the TC values between 400 and 1600 RPM.

I see. I thought you were slowly getting on the TPS.

I did also disable rolling idle and that did help but somehow it still accelerates on it's own!

Have you compared the tune to stock?

I would like to compare my tune to stock but it has been previously tuned so that isn't really an option unfortunately. My truck has a cam in it. Comparing it to a stock file from that same truck, my tune is pretty much the same as far as I can tell.
