Need some help please.
I have been logging for a few weeks now, and really enjoy using the program. So much to learn though.
The problem I am having is with both narrow band O2 sensors. I can log both sensors mv and information shows up when I open Efiscan V7.5, but when I open the file in scan and tune and try to view it as a chart the information seems to be gone.
Car is VZ Clubsport, E40 pcm, log file below.
Thanks.

They show up on chart...

you have to first add them to a chart (on corner of chart strip where you want one of the pids, go rightclick->Other PIDS->O2S11-O2SV(mv); on another corner do same for other pid; then do rightclick->Chart Properties and click Save).

Thanks for your help joecar.
I get what you are saying. I have included some sreenshots of what happening though. I can get the o2 pid on the chart but no data appears. I must have something configured wrong. Pictures are from the same file that I posted in the first post.
Hope the pics help explain what's going on.

Look at the scale on the chart, it needs to be scaled correctly. In v8, just roll over the pid title and click the little button the looks like to opposing arrows to auto-scale the chart.

Thanks darcy, that does not seem to work either, if you look at screenshot 2, the is no data in the o2 pid of v8, however (screenshot 4) when the file is opened v7.5 the o2 values are there.

It shows as 0 on the data page in v8 because there are 2 sets of data included in eachd pid - the Voltage & the STFT. v7 lists them separately.
I can plot both the voltage and the STFT from you log in v8.

( If you can't get it displaying on V8 scantool, use the V7 scantool for now (V8 can't do maps yet) )

I would log HO2S11/21 (if these are available on your OS) rather than O2S11/21.

This is doing my head in darcy. Is there any chance you can take a screen shot of the data page with my log opened.

And joecar, I tried looking for a download link of V7 but could not find one.

Thanks.

Sorry guys, I worked out how to see the data in 7.5 at least, in the chart, still have no idea why it doesn't show up in V8.

Thanks for helping again.

darcy, how do you get the V8 scantool to replot (after adding pids to a chart)...?

I'm not really sure, Joe.
My chart seems to plot automatically as soon as I select a different pid.

Hmmm, I can't get it to replot.

Also, I can't seem to see how to add more charts...

You can right click on the charts and select Options from the context menu, then select Chart Properties or Shift+F4.
In there you can can increase the number of charts.

Just finished installing the new updates.
So I think you can see my problem joecar, I can select the o2 pid, but the data doesn't plot like it does for darcy.
I have tried playing with chart options, but nothing seems to make the data visible.

Paul,

Attached pic shows two pids (O2S11, O2S21) not plotting.

(also, btw, when in small icon mode, some of the labels are missing )

Investigating the non-plotting PIDs...

In small button mode the labels are deliberately not shown, there's not enough room.

Paul,
Attached pic shows two pids (O2S11, O2S21) not plotting.

Confirmed, it is a bug. Will be fixed in the next update (due Monday).

Is there a reason why darcy can see the o2 pid's and others can't?

I'm not sure, maybe he's using an older version of the software before the display of sub PIDs was broken. For what its worth, I cannot make the O2S11V or O2S21V display in the charts or in the Data tab page in the current software. I had to make a number of changes to fix the bug to allow the data to display correctly.

Maybe Darcy can explain how his screen shot was achieved - it could be something that I'm not aware of.

P.S. The data display has also been fixed to now display like this:
18236

No problems Paul, I understand that V8 is a work in progress. and I can see the data chart in V7.5 I just glad that you guys helped me out.
When and where can I find the new update?
Thanks again.

PaulI thought so... I just wanted to make sure it was intentional.

Thanks.
