I have my aem uego connected to pins 2 and 5 on a male db9 connector. I have that connected to a female db9 to rj11/12 adapter and an rj11 cable running to the flashscan v2. from what I have read and researched this is the way to do it but I do not get any readings on either the v2 or efilive scan tool. if someone can double check this I would greatly appreciate it and verify if everything is right or wrong and what should I do. thank you

Did you cross the Rx and Tx signals (i.e. null modem cable)...?

negative, just straight pin to pin with male connector to female connector.

It needs to do the null modem Rx/Tx crossover.

Look at the bottom of page 6 in the AEM pdf "Serial Output"... that is how you connect the AEM to a PC's serial port...

Instead of Rx pin 2 you need to connect the blue wire to Tx pin 3; and you do need the ground pin 5 connection.

so I need the null modem adapter and switch the blue wire from pin 2 to pin 3 and i should be able to log pass through no problem?

ok I tried both pin 2 and 3 with the null modem adapter and it is still not working. the only thing I can think of now is that the rj11 wire and db9 to rj11 adapter will not allow it to work. any input?

Can you draw a diagram of how you wired it...?

Did you configure V2 to read WBO2 serial comms...?

V2 has to be connected to a live OBD2 port in order to read WBO2 serial comms.

I attached the diagram. I did go into the menu and changed the options according to the manual but not the com in and com out as it said due to those options not being available so im guessing the manual is for a different firmware version. the v2 was connected to the obd2 port the entire time.
