I am interested to know if i am able to upgrade, update the OS on my E67. Presently i have a 2006 CTS-v and would like to have the same operating software from an 09+
Current OS is 12605669 and the OS i am looking at is 12632176.
Reason being the MAF tables are better in the newer OS vs the older ones that copy the old PCM limitations.

The 2006 and 2008+ CTS have entirely different electrical architectures. I doubt a calibration designed to work with the 2008+ CTS would work in an 03-07 CTS... between discrete inputs/outputs to the ECM, GMLAN vs. Class 2, etc...
You might be able to make an 09 Trailblazer or 09-12 Colorado E67 calibration work...seeing as those vehicles still used the older Class 2 architecture (with discrete cruise control inputs, discrete outputs for speedo/tach/etc.

Probably 09-12 Colorado would be best. It closest-matches the 06 CTS...because cruise control is a resistor ladder input to a single pin...instead of 3 separate discrete +12v inputs like the Trailblazer

I thought all e67 were born the same...
I know the e67 offers both canbus and class2 communications that is why i chose it over the old pcm for my build. I did not know there was a difference not allowin me to upgrade the os. I will ask my tuner about custom os with the better maf table.

Ross would know better than me...
But I think E67's that are calibrated for the newer GMLAN-only vehicles have the Class-2 comms disabled, and discrete tach/speedo/cruise control/crank request outputs/inputs disabled. In which case they wouldnt work in an older Class-2 vehicle.

Maybe not, I only dive as deep as we need to.

GMPX, How may i update the MAF table in the older OS to match the newer os?
Thats all i would like to do ultimately...

You can't, you would just need to copy/paste the values from one to the other.

Ok, thats good news..
Thank you

I went onto the EFI compatible list and my ecm is not compatible with the 08 trailblazer, though it has the MAF scalin i am looking for.
I currently have 12605669, and i had access to 12618164, most of my information copied over, others i had to copy from the 07 V...
On the list, it doesnt look like its compatible. There are differences but i am shootin in the dark.
Let me know your thoughts

Is this an actual 2006 CTS-V, or a custom vehicle ?
Are you exceeding the 512 g/s MAF limits ?
If this is an actual 2006 CTS-V, then trying to use a 2008 TBSS tune (12618164) will result in an inoperative Starter, inoperative Cruise Control, an inoperative Tach, and probably a host of other issues - and the CTS-V APP (accelerator pedal) will not work with a TBSS calibration.

This is an actual 2005 CTS-v where i swapped the engine harness and module for a 2006.
If i lose that much, i will try the colorado 09 OS
