The values I am getting when I pull the cal file out of the vehicle for Vcam seem to be way off (showing degrees of 1 or 2). Has anyone done one of these yet?

Can you post the tune or a screenshot of the table and I can compare it the 2015 Z06 auto file I have in HP Tuners.

Thanks! I appreciate the help!
I noticed the issues in the CAM tables, but I am nervous about making any changes or flashing anything in to the ECU. Not sure what else I may not have spotted.

No don't look right compared to HP Tuners

I just compared the variable camshaft tables between hpt and efi and they do not match. Hpt has alot more timing in the tables on the intake and zero's on the exhaust compared to efi. Now I dont know if efi is using a modifier table to change the tables and hpt is not. If I have some time I'll look through some more tables to compare.

Any input from EFILive on this? I would love to fix the drive off timing stuff.... I don't know why GM doesn't understand that when someone buys a 6.2Liter Supercharged V8, that they want it to feel like a supercharged V8...not a weak 6 cylinder at less than 30% throttle. It's PAINFUL. I picked up 4mpg on my CTS-V with just light load timing mods, and it drove like an SC V-8!

With the cam tables looking like that I am little scared to use the tune

There was some errors in those tables, we are just about ready to release the fixed files, what OS is your Z06 and we should be able to get you sorted out ASAP.

How do I tell? it's a 2015 Auto.

With the file loaded in the Tune Tool it tells you right next to the VIN on the summary screen.

Ross even the spark tables are not right. I am waiting on customer to complete his add ons so I can tune it next week. Please review the attached tune. I am going to have to have a better base tune than this.

Thanks

Mike

Road and Jason.S, if you save the attached files in to the folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EFILive\V7.5\Calibrations\E92

Re-open your tune and you'll find that those cam tables now look normal.

Cheers,
Ross

Mike, I edited my post, I didn't notice your OS was different to the other user. What was the issue you thought with the spark tables?

I may have spoken too soon. I am out vacationing this week and using my phone for most my replies. Andrew sent me the pre-release definition for the new OS and have only briefly looked over the tune. The row column seamed to be mislabeled. I was comparing the tune against a older OS that just may have had different calibration in the tables. I will review it again when get to some wifi. Then again its not on the high priority list this week.

Thanks
Mike

Thanks! Was there anything else that looked "off" that you noticed? I take it even if the scaling is wrong somewhere else...as long as I don't touch it...it will stay the same as it was in reality???

yes correct, nothing ever gets changed unless you change it.

Perfect...just wanted to make extra certain that any other scaling issues wouldn't some how affect it once pulled then reflashed.

Thanks!!!!

So the VVT numbers look better. I am unable to track down the Commanded a/f however. The Power enrichment is showing 1.16 to 1.18 depending on rpm, but I am seeing .75 lambda in the log. I put a link to the file and a log of a 1/4 mile pass. If anyone has any insight, would love to hear it! Thanks!!

Still having issues with EFILive reading and displaying the files correctly.... What is the deal on the RPM axis in the timing maps???

Jason S.
June 29th, 2015, 02:38 AM
I really don't want to start making any changes to the cal until this is sorted out. Any ideas on the axis label issues??

GMPX

Sorry Jason, it is just a label issue with the axis looking at the wrong spot in the file. I'm not sure how we missed that one as it is pretty obvious.

Ok, just extract the attached zip file in to the folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EFILive\V7.5\Calibrations\E92

Sorry for the inconvenience. It wasn't going to change anything it shouldn't but it certainly looked wrong.

Cheers,
Ross

Surely this isn't labeled correctly??? should the fast numbers be at the lower rpm??????

GMPX

Table looks just like it did on the E38 Vette so I think it is ok.

Jason S.
July 7th, 2015, 03:15 PM
The accelerated return would be based on RPM because at such a low rpm it would take FOREVER to return knock. If you look at the HP Tuners stuff, it is against rpm, not -200 delta. Which....does make sense.

Also can you look at my other post about the knock stuff....I am getting no where fast with that.

Thanks!
