Post screenshots of these tabs from scantool right when the connections fails: Console, OBDII->Summary, OBDII->Modules, OBDII->Controller, PIDs.

I have recently ran into the same problem with my 2000 Corvette. 2004 Escalade worked fine but the Corvette would only report Air Mass Per Cylinder, Injector Duty Cycle Bank 1, Injector Duty Cycle Bank 2, and Power At Wheels. However, nothing would record when the red or yellow bttons were activated.

In scantool, go Edit->Properties->Connection and set Preferred Cable Type to EFILive FlashScan V2.5 HAPI, and click Ok.

Just check my scantool. It was already set to the V2.5 HAPI. Problem still exists when I loaded the Imperial PID selection, only three were reported and all the other were non reporting with the RED X. Ran the DTC and have U1096, U1064 and U1016 H codes. Somehow the OBD II connection is not being recognized by EFILive V2, yet it will power up the V2 FlashScan.

After trying to log data, select the menu option: File->Generate error report, send the error report to me at paul@efilive.com, include a link to this thread so I know what its about. I'll see if I can determine what has gone wrong.

Paul

I had this same exact issue recently. It occurred and would randomly fix itself. It happened on car B with an LS1B 09360361 after I had previously been connected to car A with an LS1B 12587604 / 04110003.
To fix it, I had to manually click the button "Check support for each PID" (2nd row of buttons on mine and 2nd button from the left).

Could also do (from V7 scantool): Info->Validate Pids.
