A50 stream

will there be an option available to purchase an A50 stream? so far look like per TCM licensing only.

Stream licenses are not available on any recent platforms - GM gas, GM diesel and Cummins due to a combination of issues.

We are reviewing the way we handle licensing with the development of FlashScan V3, but until then all new platforms require VIN licensing. The fact that some ECMs are used for 6+ years (or LS1 which was closer to 10), requires us to develop a scheme that provides an ongoing revenue stream to support futuristic development on long term ECM/TCMs. Effectively, the historical stream concept to you refer to will not return.

There is no ETA on FlashScan V3 at this point of time, the project is underway and we are beyond the 'concept' stage.

FWIW, our current A50 support only covers LMM Based vehicles. We haven't started development on the LML based A50. GM changed the TCM again this year, so the A50 is now a legacy ECM.
