I have a v2 scanner with 2 open license's it is not allowing me to scan my stock ecm on my new truck

Licenses are not needed to connect to the scan tool.

Are you connecting to the V7 scan tool, the scan tool within V8 software, or are you attempting to use FlashScan V2 BBX scan features?

If you are attempting to scan using BBX, did you setup and program the device first?

Im assuming you already pulled the stock file from the truck.

I can not pull the stock file out of my new truck it does not allow me to

Have you tried deleting efi live and reinstalling it on your computer? Worked for me once before. Was the truck previously tuned? Could be locked

You should be able to reflash over a locked ecm iirc. Just cant read the files out.

The ecm is not looked its the actual license that i have on my v2 that dosent allow to open the ecm it says i need to purchase a new license even though i still have two available license's left

Please provide the information requested previously.

You have stated in parts that your issue is you cannot flash your controller, but then you stated you couldn't read the controller, so I what exactly were you trying to flash?

You had approx 6 threads on the go in a variety of different forum headings, many of which have been moderated. You've stated you are trying to tune a 2002 vehicle - but what sort? From our supported vehicles list, EFILive offers support on the following 2002 controllers: LS1, Duramax, Inline 6 Gas, or 4CYL gas?

Please ensure you update to the latest software versions, the current release is:

V8 Software: V8.2.2, Build 278
FlashScan/AutoCal Firmware: V2.07.84 (Jun 02, 2015)
FlashScan/AutoCal Boot Block: V2.07.07 (Feb 07, 2014)
V7.5 Software: V7.5.7, Build 285

Once you have downloaded and installed the latest software version, please post a screen shot of your VIN License page located in your V8 software by navigating to [F7: Licenses] -> [F3: VINs]

In this example screen shot, both engine controller licenses have been used, only transmission licenses are available.
