View Full Version : scaling 2.5 bar MAP sensor in an E92

Hi guys, I am using a ZR1 MAP sensor for a boosted C7, if I scale it to the normal 312.5 it's way off.

If I scale it to 500 it is at 100 KPA KOEO, but it still isn't scaled correctly. I can drive down the road at light throttle and see 10 KPA, 0 on decel. Never goes over 40 with normal driving and it has a small cam.

I do not have a C7Z file yet to look at, but does anyone have any experience with how to scale this correctly?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know if it is a different P/N but the MAP sensor in the Twin Turbo LF3 (also E92) is scaled like this...

{B2101} MAP Sensor Scaler = 450.000000 scaler
{B2103} MAP Sensor Offset = -15.000000 kPa

Cheers,
Ross

Thanks Ross, I spoke to Jesse he gave me suggestions to correct the offset.

Thanks for your time. I'll post my results once I have it dialed for others.

Update. I rescaled it back to 312.500, normally in the E38 this sensor has an offset of -11.25.

In the E92 to get it correct I had to set the offset to -1.8, I am at sea level so I brought the number to where KOEO was 100.0 KPA.

I have only used whatever offset GM used for that sensor or any other, so I never realized that the offset number would throw the sensor off that much. After a test drive all the numbers look normal in both boost and vacuum.
