Ok guys, I've read that VATS can be tuned out of the PCM under theft >g1201.

I have a customer with an intermittent b2947/b2958. Rather than a $250 module + install labor, will turning VATS off allow the fuel pump relay to close and the truck to run?

Just trying to come up with a best scenario

As far as I know setting B1039 to Disable will do the trick. I have never tuned a Black Box PCM with EFILive. I use Tunercat for the 96-2000 Black Box PCMs.

Just saw this reply! The truck is still at the shop. Bought a "new Rockies" module bypass kit. It was a waste. Thinking I may just buy a vin license for this thing...

If anyone else ever runs into this disabled passlock on the L31 ecm today, caused a flashing security light, removed the evo module, no light and dead reliability for my customer now.
