Curious if anyone knows of a "secret PID" or combination that allows the tune tool to track the timing cells live.
For example, watch the high octane table live and see which cell its pulling from live.
I have the KR, Timing Cylinder 1, SEVRET (torque reduction retard) and such all being logged which are good to tune from but would be nice to track them live if possible?

thanks in advance,

Rh

Ill take that as a no.

Obviously I can watch the cells in the KR map in the scan tool but didnt know if EFI had the intelligence to follow the final actual computed timing and highlight the active cells its pulling from while your driving/dyno etc.

I can get this to work with my E38 tune and log. Need to make sure you activate the "Automatically Track Scantool" tab

Not too sure if this is what you are after ?

The should be a file E78_Link.ini where you can define the link pids for each table (if not already defined).

Look in here: C:\Program Files (x86)\EFILive\V7.5\Configuration

If there is no E78_Link.ini, then you may be able to create a basic rudimentary one, refer to E92_Link.ini for example.

Excellent I will try this out this morning.
Dieselman that's exactly what I am after and I did press the track linked cells button. It works on the t43 trans controller but not the E78.

Joecar, I'll look for the link file and edit it. I bet that's the issue.

Thanks again guys.

Joecar, there is not an E78 file.
I used the E38 and did a find replace and spot checked a few things. I am going to test it out it appears the tables in the E38 and E78 are all mapped the same, but as mentioned I did a spot check on about 20 of them not 100%.
Ill report back.

I attached it as a .txt to upload it.

You can create one, use one of the existing ones as a template, you can start with only the tables you want to look at.

Good job

Also note that for each table axis you can have multiple/alternate link pids, each one is separated by a comma.
