Has anyone ever tried it?
Im building a Duramax/4l80 setup for a customer, and they want to be able to use DSP-5.
The van OS doesnt support DSP-5 obviously, so I was thinking about switching to a pickup truck OS. There are a couple wires to move around on the ECM connectors, but the main thing Im wondering is if the pickup truck OS will communicate properly with the van 4L80 T42 TCM.
Could someone with a van maybe try this for me? Flash a pickup truck calibration into their van and try driving it? When you flash in the pickup truck calibration, it will not crank...so you'll have to jumper the starter relay. But other than that, it should start and run just fine. The question is, will the T42 work properly with it.
