trying to figure out the correct pids to use , its been years since i hooked up my wideband . thanks in advance, new exhaust and headers, swapped to an automatic also. just want to check the tune over. thanks, chad.

im trying to load the file but it wont get past the select files. when i upload a log it gives me an error code.

im pretty much logging all pids to do with lm1.
can someone tell me which should be needed ?

no one? i done all the updates, can not get my lm1 to show in scan tool. tried adding lambda pids, eq ratio pids. basically all that could apply to the wide band, nothing.

I can't assist you with configuring the V7 Scan Tool, which I assume you are attempting to use, but you can also use V8 Scan and Tune to configure your Wideband for BBX functions (pass-thru logging not yet available).

Instructions on how to configure your wideband in V8 Scan and Tune can be found here. https://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=8371-TIPK-2770.

If you need assistance on configuring your FlashScan V2 for BBX functions, they can be found here https://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=6659-YAHB-3781

Cheers
Cindy

i just tried those, nothing showing in my v2 for pids. it gives me a screen showing timer and frames. nothing else happens, and when connected to my v8 or even scan and tune i dont see any logs.

is there a tutorial on scan and tune somewhere? this is new to me as it was not there back when i was last fooling with efi live.

You can use the V8 reference guide, however it's a manual on functionality not a tutorial on how to configure a wideband. V8 Scan and Tune has not been enabled for pass-thru logging, so your choices are either V7 pass-thru or V8 standalone (BBX).

When you setup BBX, did you select the PID's in the [F5: BBX] -> [F2: Scan] menu?

With the 2 links I sent you, it might be easier to do them in reverse order, this is what I'd do.

https://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=6659-YAHB-3781

Connect FlashScan V2 to your PC.
Open the EFILive Scan and Tune application.
Select the [F5: BBX] option in the left-hand pane.
Select the [F2: Scan], uncheck all selected controllers, add your controller, then select your PID's. (refer to the link to see a picture on how to drag the PID's into the selected PID's window)
Select the [F3: Tune], uncheck all selected controllers, add your controller.
Select the [F6: Quick Setup] option in the left-hand pane. Check the tick box options to ensure you will be including current device and BBX settings, Format Config files. The other 2 check options are your choice. Then select Edit FlashScan V2 Settings (NOTE: The display button will say Edit AutoCal Settings, you'll need to use the drop down)
Setup the wideband as per https://support.efilive.com/kb_article.php?ref=8371-TIPK-2770
Add any tune files you wish to move to your V2.
Select [Program Quick Setup] and your V2 is ready for BBX with your wideband.

After the device is programmed, disconnect FlashScan from your PC and go to your vehicle.
Connect FlashScan to your vehicle, and from the FlashScan menu, select F1 Scan Tool -> F1: Select PID's and confirm controller selection. From here you'll have the options to F1 Record data, F2 Display data or F3 Display WO2.

When you've recorded and saved a log, you'll need to return FlashScan to your PC and move the log from the FlashScan V2 to your PC using EFI Explorer. You will then be able to open and review your log.

Cheers
Cindy

can someone tell me which should be needed ?I take you have a null modem serial comms cable...?

The pids to log: EXT.WO2LAM1, EXT.WO2EQR1, EXT.WO2AFR1, EXT.WO2ST1...

the BEN pid you want is CALC.WO2BEN from the Calc.VET thread (see calc_pids.txt file attached to post #1).

Post a screenshot showing the error...

Make sure you're running the latest software/firmware.

If your V2 firmware is older than 2.06.00 the stop and let me know asap.

Our knowledgebase is constantly evolving.

The links I gave you a few posts ago have been expanded upon detailing screen by screen options. Your Wideband configuration instructions have moved. you'll now find them here.

with serial comms the pids are EXT.WO2LAM1, EXT.WO2EQR1, EXT.WO2AFR1, EXT.WO2ST1.

With V2 plugged into OBD2 port, you can view these on V2 (there is a submenu).

Post your calc_pids.txt file here (from My Documents\EFILive\V7.5\User Configuration).

Post your log file.

Sorry joe, i plugged my v2 in to the obd2 port and it wont pull up PIDS. I try to attach file of user configuration and when i get it in to my files selection it wont upload.
Leaves a red error symbol

I dont know how to get screen shots.
And last ,why do i have to completely learn this stuff again every time i have to do an update? Is there a simpler method I'm missing? Venting so excuse the aggravated post.

After installing new V7 and V8 software, start V8 S&T and click Check Firmware and follow the prompts.

I did a quick test this morning, it is data logging with bbx but the pids were all the pre determined pids.
it did not log any of my pids i saved. I am planning to drive the car to work tonight if the weather stays nice and will bring my efilive and lap top on the boat with me.

ok Joe, i was able to get the pids in bbx to load. but now the map on scan tool dont read them.
I also had another issue today im hoping they can clear up when new zealand wakes up. i ordered a license to help a friend, first i screwed up and entered an old authentication code. then i plugged into his car and find the person before me locked his pcm. so im stuck with a purchase at this time that i cant use even if i get it fixed.
i wont take a long break from this again, to much changes on me .lol
