I'm getting my V2 on Monday, and I was wondering if I can command the torque converter for troubleshooting purposes?

Ok, got my EFI live v2, but I can't figure out how to command the torque converter. Does anyone know how to do this?

Start scantool, File->Select Controller (select your flavor of Allison), File->Connect, goto DVT tab, select your Allison controller, click Activate, goto Gear tab, checkmark TCC Solenoid, click Turn On.

Be careful, use common sense.

Is your Allison an AL5 or A40...?

A40.
When I connect to the controller though with EFI live 7.5 scan tool, I do not have any supported PID's for transmission. Any idea why?

Do this:
- On the PIDs tab, uncheck Supported;
- File->Select Controller, and select A40 Allison 6 Speed TCM;
- File->Enter VIN, and enter the VIN;
- Info->Validate Pids, and let it complete;

you should now see a bunch of pids.

I'm getting a bunch of PID's now, but not the TCC slip one that I need.

TCCSLIP may or may not be defined for your TCM... was it previously defined that you know of...?

is there a TIS pid that you can compare to the RPM pid (to obtain slip)...?
