Morning everyone,
Got a weird one...
Picked up EFI a few weeks back, have been tinkering with with truck to try to get it close the previous tune that was on it just by taking baby steps.
Everything was going fine, got good snotty power out of it and clean exhaust with decent egts. Felt like it was pretty much back to where it was with the old tune..
Then one day after flashing i went from the stock maps and switched to program 1 and the vane position dropped to nothing.. same for programs 2-4. So i reflashed it... no change.
Had a tune made that was just EGR delete and dsp5 OS with stock maps everywhere... same thing. Stock vane maps but they drop to nothing as soon as i switch to a dsp program.
The stock maps work just fine. Can cruise around in the 5th switch position with no problem. Can make changes to stock maps and they take effect.
Went as far as flashing back to stock without DSP and after that worked fine, going back to the DSP OS. Same thing... Created an entire new file based off of stock, same thing..
Maybe the switch was bad? have a CTS monitor. Switched DSP switching to serial to control by the CTS. Same thing..
CONFUSED.
Anyone run into this? problem with the ecm maybe?
