I have a L33 5.3 out of a 2007 truck. I am going to be putting it in my 91 Chevy truck as a Turbo setup.

Anyway I have a few questions about the tuning process.

I understand that I need to run a Custom Operating System for boost, am I correct that I need to flash it as a 2005 or prior?

Will I need to buy a 2005 gas pedal and TAC to match to my programming or can I make my 07 pedal and TAC module work?

Thanks

This is a Gen III engine (24x crank/1x cam) correct? If so, yes to use an EFILive COS you will need to use an 04/05 LS1 PCM OS. I cant answer the pedal/TAC question, hopefully someone else can for you.

Yes it is a 24x crank sensor.

You would need a tac module and metal pedal for it to work. So pre 05 if my memory serves me right

Ok the more I read the more confused I am.

Do I need to change my Throttle Body as well to match the TAC and Pedal? Or will the one I have now work with a 05 Pedal and TAC?

Is there any advantage of one year vs another as far as programming goes? 2003-2004-2005 Does it matter?

Check the options in the os per year. And the throttle body can stay. The pedal and tac have to be matched. You can run a 07.5 and up tb on a 02 pedal and tac module
