New t42 module

I am trying to put a new T42 Module in a 05 Corvette, but i cant figure out how to program it. I have tried copying the VIN into the controller but i cannot get the controller to take the VIN. I assume also that without the VIN in the controller that it will not communicate with the other modules on the car is the correct?

If you have a matching tune (well the correct one for that car) then do a Full Flash of the TCM using V8. Then it should take the VIN etc, it might not be fully programmed from GM if it was new.

I did a full flash but i got an error saying the OS was different on the New one compared to the old one.
