I'm working on a 2011 cummins and the guy wants efi live in it. I already have a good tune made for a 2012 cummins I was seeing if I can use that tune or not?

Just script it over to the 11OS. Or in most cases the 12 file will go into the 11 with no issues.

12 file going into 11 generally causes loss of steering control functions and cruise control, unfortunately.
