I upgraded my firmware to the newest version dated dec 11, 2015 and now i am unable to use my V2 to datalog alone or even with the laptop. Yesterday i was able to flash one tune, but today i am unable to do anything.

What could i do to get it all to work again?

I have a 2005 CTS-v where i swapped the PCM for a E67. The harness was nearly plug and play and i also added extra terminals to the obdii port so everything may communicate.

I thought it would be the cable, so i tried it on my E38 and it worked flawlessly. Something happened and i cant figure it out.

Any idea what caused the ECM to fail...?

Any idea what caused the ECM to fail...?

I found arc marks near the positive terminal. I feel the battery charger could have slipped and arced before fallin on the carpet. I am using an alu bracket to hold the batt in place as well as the ecu. I may have to get a plastic case for the ecu.

Just FYI, EFILive will replace the ECM's VIN license free of charge if/when you replace your ECM. To obtain your free replacement VIN license, email a copy of the replacement ECM's receipt to me at paul@efilive.com.
