I have seen weird things like that too. On 2016 Duramax cab and chassis the turn signals act stupid with the V2 plugged in. Being I know what is causing it I don't worry about it anymore.

When scanning/logging or when flashing/reading, the other modules on the CANLAN bus don't get immediate bus access and/or immediate response from the ECM, so they complain.
You may have to remove battery power and let the modules discharge, and then reconnect battery power and let the modules sync up among themselves.

I have another unit, it works perfect. By the way, when I disconnect the unit "whenever I encounter a failure" the car goes back to normal

Odd Boy, are both V2's Blue or is one a Black? Is it the same OBD-II cable from the V2?

I was logging a 2016 LML yesterday and speedo, tach, and turn signals were delayed. I think it's just overloading or taking control of the can line.

I have identified a potential config setup in the FlashScan firmware that may be responsible for interference on the low speed CAN bus. Please use EFILive_Explorer to program in the attached firmware update into your FlashScan. This update has the same version number as the latest release (V2.07.95) so that you can swap between this firmware and the release firmware. The date on this firmware is Jan 25, 2016 so you can tell it apart from the release firmware.

As a last resort try removing pin 1 from inside the OBDII end of the EFILive OBDII cable. That pin is connected to the vehicle's low speed CAN network which may be interfering with the instrument cluster. FlashScan does not use pin 1. That pin was designed/reserved for an old Chrysler protocol that has never been implemented in FlashScan.
You'll need to physically cut the pin as close to the back of the plug as possible to prevent it from contacting the low speed CAN socket in the vehicle's OBDII connector. Let me know if that fixes the problem. If it does then we'll need to keep hunting for the source of the problem with pin 1.

My G8 goes crazy if I plug in my V2 with the car running. It flashes contact dealer and then goes away. If you plug in before starting the car it doesnt do it.

A canlan protocol analyzer would be a very handy tool.

Just curious, is there a fix for this? My 2000 C5 loses the radio and IP, and resets the clock when plugging the V2 into the OBD-II connector. Doesn't matter if the key is on or off before I plug it in.
Thanks!
