I have an LC-1 wired in stand alone (separate bung). It gets switched power from the fuse box and the blue wire is grounded under the dash. I have the analog out along with the green and white going to the EFI Live black box.

Can I run the car (normal driving) without the black box connected to the ALDL thereby disconnecting the LC-1's system and analog grounds (green and white)? Will that cause a problem for the controller and/or sensor?

-thanks.

The way you have described the connections should work fine. As long as the LC-1 heater circuit has power and ground anytime the engine is running it will not be harmed. I am assuming that the switched power from the fuse block is always on if the engine is running. If not, the sensor will foul very quickly.

You can connect a dynotune display to it and have a use for it when not logging.
