My buddy purchased a 02 LB7 and the past history of it is unknown. Tried flashing in a DSP file today and kept getting a $0537 Error. After googling it and searching the forums I realized its a common issue on the LB7s. I tried everything from removing fuses, trying both V8 and 7.5 along with checking all the other flash option boxs and nothing would work. Looking for some advice on what route to go or take if there are any. I have read everything from people saying having a door open to a E brake being engaged causing them to have the $0537 error. Is that possible? Ive never encountered this error before so its new to me. Here are 2 screen shots from today. Thanks

Early LB7 ECM's had a very bad habit of locking themselves or getting corrupted if updated by TechII.

They might be able to assist in getting it restored to use again.

If he was to buy a refurbished ECM from the auto part store would I have to flash his vin into the new ECM via EFI live? Never been down this road before so not sure what I need to do to properly setup a new ecm.
