My new swap is in running/driving, however I am having a hard start issue. Also it sometimes backfires if you let off during cranking, I have learned if you just stick with it, it will always start and not backfire. Only backfires if you abort the start mid cranking. About 80% of the time when I go to turn it over it has to crank for 5-10 seconds before it will start. Then every once in a while it will flash right up just like a brand new truck, or a 2007 motor should lol.

Has a new Cam Sensors as of today, fixed nothing.

It is throwing a code for the camshaft. Doing some Google searches I can find other people with the exact same symptoms and code but no real advise.

I logged Cam Signal Input High to Low & Cam Signal Input Low to High, they are both showing zero while cranking and running. Should they be showing something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

CAMHL and CAMLH should be counting (and should have a difference of 1 between them).

Thanks, I was able to log a friends vehicle and seen theirs showed 50-70 counts at idle. I am going to trace the wires today and see if there is a wiring problem or i guess a bad PCM problem. It is a brand new harness from PSI.

Found the culprit. Brand new harness, oh well things happen.
