Sense check please.

Trying to sort some serious issues with a tune on a mates VXR8. The KPA is reading REALLY low. 120kpa for what should be 190KPA at least.

He has the GM12592525. Am I right that the settings on this is

315.5 for the scaler
The offset is 1.1

Although we can change the offset to fine tune the MAP sensor if its not quite right?

Any confirmation would be great.

Doesn't sound right to me (but wait for someone else to confirm)

85= 1 Bar
190 = 2 Bar
285 = 3 Bar

I would guess your scaler needs changing

Jim

This is half the issue.

I have seen 288 with 27 as an off set.

312.5 with -11

It's not consistent.

As to map I swear my 2 bar is 198 with 10 or thereabouts. And other stock tunes are the same for 2 bar.

This is how messed up it is!

I did mine this week with a 2 bar sensor at 190 with an offset of 10.

Sanity check - Key on, engine off, read MAP. It should be around 101 KPA at sea level

So in a stock LSA tune it's 312.5 with -11.25

The plot thickens.

You can also check it using a hand vacuum pump (each 2 inHg is approximately 1 psi, and 5 psi is approx 33 kPa).

I will just try some settings. If it reads right it's reading right.

I am shocked we do not have a section for common base settings.

Like map sensors
Injectors
Etc.

Would make it easier to home tune.

I agree!
I just got back into the game since the LT-1 OBD-1 days.
I created a repo on github for maps,pids and anything else. https://github.com/OpCode1300/E38_Tuning
post anything here, or submit a pull request on github. :thumb_yello:

I'll add the 3-bar tonight, ordered one for my whipple install last week.
