So a 63 Nova came into the shop today its got a stock 5.3L with a single Precision 75/76 Turbo setup on it with what I was told were 76 lb injectors. Its got a 4L80E trans with what I was told was a 3000 stall converter. The first issue I have is with the transmission which I think has issues internally, is that it shifts from 1st to 4th and skips 2-3, then when you accelerate more it downshifts to 3rd and then when it tries to shift into 4th is falls to Neutral, But I can fully control and make it shift with the scan tool DVT functions in each gear and lockup. So on to the dyno I get the car to Idle and run, go to make a baseline pull and it all looks good until 2800 RPM's where it acts like it is to rich to run, which it is 11:1 so not that really too rich. then if you lift it will accelerate for a bit, but if you are WOT it will boost and act weird. Ill attach the tune any help would be greatly appreciated. It has a 3 bar MAP, I have a 2 Bar I was going to install and start over of I can't get any help.

BTW: set these to in-range values:

Out of Range calibration summary: 04:57:10 pm, Friday Apr 15, 2016

EFILive Custom Calibrations
{A0001} Forced Octane Scaler Percentage, was out of range when loaded.
{A0002} Octane Scaler Limiter, was out of range when loaded.

and also A0012, A0013.

BTW: with a COS, the HO/LO adaptive spark functions just like OEM OS (i.e. no need to copy HO over to LO).

D0915-7 WOT 2->3 MPH are the same value as D0930-2 WOT 3->2 MPH
D0920-2 WOT 3->4 MPH are the same value as D0935-7 WOT 4->3 MPH

the downshift MPH should be below the upshift MPH, say by at least 5 mph (they must not be the same).

But I can fully control and make it shift with the scan tool DVT functions in each gear and lockup. If you can command the correct gear using DVT, then this means that something is wrong with the VSS and/or TPS sensor signals. Has the trans got the correct VSS reluctor and/or the Speedometer segment been edited for the reluctor tooth count...?

...Sounds like maybe the torque converter is damaged, the stator's one way clutch may be freewheeling, maybe.

It would really help if the tune was setup to control a 4L80. Wrong segment.

Edit: Just saw the date. LOL
