does any one have any input on the benefits of trans tunning before trans build on these trans.

Some like to keep the 68 from getting into 6th gear so quick. And while at mid throttle I agree with that especially towing. But low throttle I like to get my tq up/egts down and let it lug for mileage. But TCC control can better load the engine and redefine shift requirements to new engine tq curve and power range makes it again a more seem less experience.

Atleast that is how I use trans tuning. That and with just a VB we can run 200psi LP no problem. Converter would be a wise upgrade but not 100% required.

ok thanks for the info. can we read the trans file out of it or same like the ecm.

68 tuning that I have done has been CMD/CME controllers which the engine and trans are controlled by the same PCM.
