What do we have for tuning the 68 in a 08? I see it recognizes the tcm but I have tried to download the tune but it has said it isn't a recognizable OS? any help?

EFI does not support trans tuning on the 07.5 thru 09 Dodge trucks. They only support trans tuning in vehicles which the ECM and TCM are a combined module ('06-'07, '10+)

I see ok. no way to bump the line pressure with a 07-09?

I'm not promising anything ok, but given how fresh in my mind the 2010+ trans work is I will take a look again at the stand alone TCM, but no promises it will ever come to light. :)

Should be a piece of cake for you. That H&S figured it out.

Actually it has been one of the hardest (well, convoluted) things I've worked on and I've been doing this for 10+ years. H&S are smart guys they deserve credit for being the first to figure the trans out on these (I assume they were the first?)

Sure there has been lots of progress. What in particular are you wanting to see?

No, we've been working on the 2010 - 2016 transmission calibrations first.

Ok. Just wanted to check. The competitors released it yesterday but i was hoping i wouldn't need to do a hybrid tune plus licensing through them.

Thank you!

We chose the 2010+ path first because we are already flashing the controller with the engine side of the tuning, the trans tuning was very difficult on those but it was one less thing to have to work on initially (the flashing of the controller).

This is very good news (well except that I have a 07.5 68rfe). Do you know if you will be able to turn off adaptive shifting? I am told that causes all kinds of problems in the 68 in combination with the csp5 selector switch

Sorry I have no clue how that works in the TCM code at this point in time.

We really need this ability to tune with EFI live on the '07.5-'09. We are forced to use a less than optimal option from H&S. It needs to be flashed from the same platform. You make it, we will buy it!

Just checking to see if any progress has been made in regards to the 07-09's. I'm loving the stuff I have done with my 16, but I still have a demand from people on the 07.5-09's.

Thanks

Sam

Bump for an update. I know several guys that need a good tuning option for the 68rfe. Everytime I ride in my buddies '10, it makes me jealous at how well his Starlite tuned transmission shifts. The h&s tune is horrible in comparison.

Bringing back an old thread.... I know with new models coming out every year that people want tuning for, the likelyhood of revisiting an older model year is small. That said, I'm curious if any progress has been made to map out the 07.5-09 68rfe tcm so it can be tuned with efi live. It's impressive what can be done with the new MY 68rfe's, would like to be able to do that with my 07 68rfe too without the need to buy HPT to do it...

Sorry but this won't ever happen, particularly when EFILive made all TCM tuning free a while back.

The ability to read and flash that TCM has been in V8 for a while now, however there is no official mapping support or checksum correction in EFILive for them, which is what was stated above won't change.
That company must be doing their own thing outside of EFILive and just using EFILive for flashing, this isn't uncommon as there is a few controllers like that in EFILive (such as the GM / Bosch gas ECM's, E55, E77 etc).
