How can I do a crank re-learn on a 99 f body with a 402 in it with a turbo 400tranny. The car was a 6 speed car and now someone else flashed it with an auto pcm. The problem is it is missing half the stuff it needs to do the re-learn. There is no vss, no parking brake, no computer at all for a auto so when I try the relearn it just fails because of everything missing.

You need to put a M6 file in the car. That is the only way it will properly work afaik.

I was going to try that but what about the vss and parking brake, would it still do the re-learn?

Lorenz you are only missing three inputs. The Reverse lockout and skip shift solenoids may not matter, especially if the codes are disabled. The first I recommend wiring in is the CPP clutch pedal position switch. Currently the clutch would scan as depressed and to perform the Crankshaft variation learn procedure the pedal needs to be released. Run a ground wire to PCM connector C1 (blue) terminal 32. This will give the PCM an input that the clutch is released.
Good luck, AL

Thanks AL, I have already made a manual tune for the car and will try what you said when they bring the car back by. Im just guessing thats what it needs, the car doesn't want to start all the time, but you can just turn the key off and try again after two or three trys it will start. Its only like that every now and again. It did flag the cam shaft position sensor so I recommended to the owner to get that changed and then come back.
