View Full Version : LMM Kodiak DSP-5?

Ross (and anyone else who might know)...

was there ever any LMM Kodiak OS that was found to be compatible with DSP-5?

It would be really helpful for conversions/swaps, because it would make the whole process easier...right now, if I customer wants to keep cruise control and all that working, I need to convert the LMM harness to LBZ, and use an LBZ ECM. Which isnt impossible, but its annoying because the MAF sensors are different, etc... Adds a bunch of unnecessary costs. The Kodiaks kept the "old" electrical system right up until they were discontinued in 2009. By old, I mean cruise control, and speedo/tach were on discrete signal wires rather than just over CAN.

Also, an 07 LMM Express van OS would have LMM, but old electrical system. Any luck with those?

Or...alternatively...is it possible to make an LBZ ECM OS recognize/work with a digital MAF sensor? I know the LMM has a switch in it for digital/analog MAF sensor. I wasnt sure if the LBZ did too??

Thanks
Ben

There is no Kodiak or van dsp5 available, I dsp5 in either from memory is a no crank condition

Tony, LB7/LLY/LBZ Kodiak definitely works fine with DSP.

I just wasnt sure if there was an early Kodiak LMM DSP OS that did work with DSP or something...

I know the LB7 and LLY work, The LBZ Kodiak was a Van based OS, IIRC, I know there is no pickup Cal that works in an LMM, I tried several LMM/Kodiaks and you get a dead truck.

I did not specify LMM Kodiak when I replied.

DSP works fine on it, so it must be somewhat different from a van.

yeah thats because crank request on an LMM pickup is via GMLAN. Not a discrete +12v input.

I think this is OS 12620015? If yes then there was issues that we never sorted.
