View Full Version : Cylinder Bank Assignment for LT1 24X swap

I picked you this info on a LT1 Face Book page.

"The firing order is hardwired in the LS PCM. The repin has to change the firing order, so don't try to look for changing the firing order in the tune (it's not in there). This goes for the coils and the fuel injectors. However, because the firing order is different for the LT, you'll need to change the cylinder to bank assignment. *This is important or the fuel trims will never work correctly."

Is this true? I'm not ready to tune yet but in a month or 2 I'll be ready.

I bought V2 and a ECM AFM1500 to do the tuning with.

Yes, it's true, because you want injectors to belong to the correct bank.

Off the top of my head:

X: LS1: 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3
Y: LT1: 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

Y X X Y
2 3 A Bank 1 2
7 4 B Bank 2 1
5 5 C Bank 1 1
6 6 D Bank 2 2
3 2 E Bank 2 1
4 7 F Bank 1 2
8 8 G Bank 2 2
1 1 H Bank 1 1

Hey that ECM AFM1500 is nice, it has serial comms outout which FSV2 can read.

We recently daisy chained two of those to FSV2 and we made a calc pid to dynamically use the leanest one (at any moment) to calculate the WO2BEN.

Everything in your quote is true, yes the actual firing order is hardwired and cannot be changed via recalibration, while the Injector to Bank assignment can be changed via calibration.
