Hey all,

I'm having an issue with my fuel gauge not working once I converted to a custom OS. I had a 1999 computer with OS 09381344 on it. Added a Procharger and switched to operating system 01250003 to handle the boost. My fuel gauge no longer works even after I converted all the fuel system tables to look exactly as they were before. I read some about segment swaps which "might" resolve this issue, but I can't seem to find a tune file that will let me do a comparison within the software. I also had read that perhaps I need to repin the ECU as the fuel gauge output wire was different.

Can anyone help dispel the myths and give me some pointers?

Thanks!

OS 09381344 is a 2000 model year OS, not a 1999 model year OS. EFILive COS 01250003 is an upgrade for 2001 model year OS 12202088.

So …

What vehicle is this in ?

From what vehicle (platform) did you base the 2001 COS ?

The car is a 1999 Pontiac WS6 but I got it with an LQ4 swap in it. When I pulled the tune, it had the 09381344 OS in it. I put the 01250003 OS on it from a 2001 Corvette (12202088). I changed all the fuel tables back to what they were in the original OS as the gauge was working prior. I know the Corvette has a split fuel tank but I was thinking that moving the tables around would have resolved my gauge issue but it didn't.

EDIT: I have the system settings set to an F-body vehicle platform, which is what the original tune was since it is still drive by cable.

OK ... try setting F0512 to the maximum value allowed. If that doesn't work, then you will need to start over again with Camaro / Firebird base OS, prior to upgrading to the COS.

I will definitely try that and let you know. Right now it's set to zero (0).

Can you tell me what the OS number is for the Camaro/Firebird version you mentioned? Same one (12202088) just the Camaro version? I just want to make sure I get it right.

Thanks!
