Like the title says
I'm dealing with a ZR1. LS9 car. 6-speed manual.
Customer has a Cold Air Intake from Votex.
It seems to be a nice setup! You have to cut the shroud and he air box and filter seem to "seal" up to it and almost have a "Vararam" ram air effect to the vehicle.

So, I had t on the Dyno and I was about 25+% off on my load calcs because of this air intake.
My fuel trims and load calcs change drastically at idle as well.
It looks like there is some turbulence happening with this cold air kit!

Now...let me back up a bit! The original setup came with a VERY questionable MAF housing with regards to the areas that get clamped too by the silicone couplers!
I talked with Breathless Performance (maker of the intake) and they sent out a new MAF housing that I installed for the customer to make it more reliable!
But this car is exhibiting a weird surge at idle and VERY low RPM driving that I can't get rid of and I think it's in this aftermarket cold air kit!

Has anyone ever come across something like this?
Is the customer just going to have to go back to the stock intake?

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there an air-straightener screen upstream of the MAF...?

It doesn't look like it.
It is a stock style slot MAF.

I was looking for a honey comb style setup but it looks like it is a straight through design!
