Theft System issue, need help

I'm having issues with the theft system on a 2002 LS1 Trans Am. Sometimes it will crank and sometimes it won't when it doesn't the theft light starts blinking. I've read where you can put a resistor in and bypass it but I have the license to tune the car and was wondering if turning G1201 from PWM to "none", would turn the theft system off?

You can set G1201 to None, but you will now need another means of triggering the ignition relay (the BCM usually does this).
