Anyone mess with f bodys with dual fast 90s. I tuned one today that was a pain in the ass. The fast 90 TB would stick, the owner said fast 90 said to run dual big springs on the TB. He was also told to drill a hole in the blade and it would fix the proble. He didnt drill it yet. Anyone else mess with this and have any problems?

You should be able to just dial in desired airflow rather than chop a hole in it.
Though I have read that the fast 90 sticks which is why everyone goes with the fast intake, but a nick williams 90 TB. It might be worth searching on ls1tech for info on the TB might be some other recommended fixes

mini,

What are you talking about with "dual" 90's?? I also have had some bad experiences with the FAST TB. The NW is a great piece.

Yes, the dual 90's.

I got the car tuned without drilling a hole. But it took a long time to tuned to most cars. I think the Nick Williams TB are on back order. I have heard about them but never used one personally.

I have a FAST 90mm manifold and NW TB. as far as i know Nicks TBs aren't on backorder...could be wrong though.

watch your desired airflow vs actual
adjust the screw to open up the throttle blade if still off, otherwise make the hole bigger *if you cannot adjust it by moving the screw to adjust the blade

It idles fine. The car runs good just the throttle sticks all the time. The owner was told if he drilled the tb it would help it quit sticking.

Did the owner talk to pinocchio for advice?

Did the owner talk to pinocchio for advice?

Who?
He has sent the tb back to fast twice already and it will work for a few weeks than start sticking again.

FAST TBs have a pretty bad reputation for sticking. I've had great results with ComTech 90mm throttle bodies. Available for both F-body and C5. I get mine from Dezod Motorsports www.dezod.com. Never had a back order issue.
