I'm new to EFIlive. I have a 57 chevy with 85 TPI motor 700R4 trans with EFI 24x reluctor and cam sensor converting fuel injection and ignition to LS1B (2002 Camaro).I got car wired, fuel injector bank asssigned and running but I was hoping someone would have a good tune or point me in the wright direction to get one. I'm not catching on to EFIlive scanner at all

You have a 5.0L tuned port injection small block, what car is it from...?

5.7L... you might start with a 2001/2002 F-car tune and correct it... but you would also have to enter in the correct injector data (including whether the IFR is sloped or not depending on your FPR).

You would have to take care of firing order of spark plugs and injectors, and make sure correct cylinders are assigned to each bank (so that the trims work correctly).

Do you have the OBD2 port wired up correctly...?

I think I have all done just like you said except injector flow rate and fuel rail pressure. How would I find IFR for stock injector and where do I make changes(eng cal and fuel)

What does sloped IFR mean

It works for flashing.bought v2 used I think I need to redo quick start set up from reading other post. If I can !

IFR = injector flow rate = table B4001
FPR = fuel pressure regulator

Does your FPR have a vacuum hose going to the intake manifold...? If yes, then IFR has to be flat (same value every cell); otherwise it has to be sloped (with squareroot of pressure).

Also, IFR has to be scaled to rail pressure (which you should measure).

If you're having problems with scantool, post pics...

It does have vacuum hose to FPR.Stock IFR is 21.6 lbs/hr @43.5 PSI.So I just put 21.6 in all B4001 cells?Do I enter FRP any where or how do I scale IFR to FRP and where do I enter it.

Does your rail pressure measure 43.5 psi...? If yes, then yes, 21.6 lb/hr is correct in B4001, same value in all cells (no scaling needed in this case)

There is nowhere to enter FPR pressure.

( you would have to do IFR scaling if say you were running those 21.6 lb/hr injectors at 58 psi, in this case you would multiply 21.6 lb/hr by sqrt(58.0/43.5) to get IFR at 58 psi )

You wrote in your first post that you got your car running..
but how's the engine running? Smooth? Misfiring?.....? Is your only problem not being able to connect to the scantool?
Do you want to tune it to make it run like normal, or tune it to increase performance and whatever else...?
In case it helps and in case you didn't know; the '85 350 has a different firing order to the :master:LS1.

Just looking for stock tune for the 85 TPI motor with 02 Camaro pcm if someone has already got one figured out.

I am running an LT1 with a TPI on top, using a Vortec distributor, '96 LT1 front cover with 4X reluctor. and using a LS1B (411) ECU. although this one does need tuned. it is a 4X4 tune also. we started with a Savana tune and did some segment work. I could possibly figure out a 2wd version for you. PM me if you wish, I'm in Wichita Kansas area, if you are close

post your current tune I'll give it a look

this was before the TPI conversion

and a direct Vortec to TPI conversion, although he has not let me tune it yet??

I am running a modified accel DS distributor w/ a 411 and LS1 MAF on a stock 91 Vette TPI motor. The ECM uses a Express Van OS 12212156 with a low resolution crank signal. But, the VE table and ignition tables should be close for you (do you have aluminum heads?). Depending on you intake tract, the MAF curve should be OK also. My fuel trims run about -0.8% @ idle and about -3.5% at cruise. WOT AFR runs in the high 13s. The Vette has a ZF transmission and made 263 RWHP; not bad considering GM rated the engine at 245 at the crank.

Oops, I forgot to note I'm running 24# injectors..so pay attention!

I would feel more comfortable with WOT AFR in the low 13's.
