Hi,

I have a hot LS1 with ITBs and want to use the COS5 for its TPS VE capabilities

If I understand correctly I have to full reflash the 12225074 OS File and than reflash the original tune file on top, however I cannot find the 12225074 OS.

Can someone help me? Its an automatic.

THANKS!

Regards,
Paulo

Ok that wasn't so hard... I found it here

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4ydh5wltk3ssxbw/AADRTeiU4QdFKgp_NijdH-eMa/Holden?dl=0&preview=2002+Holden+Commodore+(Middle+East)+Sedan+ Automatic+LS1+5.7+Litre+(PCM+12225074).tun

My car currently has a 09381344 OS so not compatible with the upgrade. I believe I need to copy the tables to the 12225074 File but there are many tables that don't match, more parameters, etc... Is this a problem or should I just change what I can and leave the rest alone?

Regards,
Paulo

This is what I do:

I flash in the new OS and see if the engine runs... most times it runs reasonably...

the few that it runs poorly I then tune it a little and/or copy the tables that are significantly different...

either way, it's going to be tuned again with COS5.

Joecar,

Thanks yet again for your help- however cannot full flash either the 1222507 or the COS5 - it just does not allow me to select the full flash button.

Any idea why that is?

Did you read the 12225074 file from that PCM...?

Scan tool was not connected.

Original ECU file is 09381344 . 12225074 file came from the dropbox link I posted...

If 12225074 was not read from PCM then the PCM is not 0411...

Excuse me but I didnt get that. What do you mean with 0411?

Am I trying something impossible?

part # 12200411 PCM.

If 09381344 was read from your PCM, then 12225074 should flash right in...

try again doing full flash of 12225074... post screenshot.

Dumb question, what FlashScan do you have? If you have a V1 Personal, you cannot full flash. You need either a V1 Commercial or any V2. You also need to plug the FlashScan in BEFORE opening the V7.5 Tune tool or the option will not be available (V8 will give you the option if you plug the FS in after opening).

Hey,

Quick feedback. Got it all going...

When I select TPS VE does that automatically make it open loop? It would be nice to retain some Closed loop if possible...

Also is the power enrichment still active?

Finally, I was thinking the best / Quickest way to do the fuel map is to copy the original one across and then setup an external wideband and log them into a graph so I can calculate the correction factor? This would only work in OL, of course.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

TPS VE is regardless of CL/OL... you can retain CL.

Yes.

You mean to populate the TPS VE table...? Read this: COS5.txt (https://forum.efilive.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9186&d=1286591132).

( BTW: VE table is the airmass map, i.e. it is not a fuel map, fuel gets added in proportion later )
