Hello
I'm new here. From Iraq.
I want to buy the EFI live flashscan v2 for gm vehicles but I'm asking for the gm models and years and functions that the device cover. Specifically I'm looking for the "change vin function". I install ised gm PCMs sometimes but some vehicles require only new PCMs "11-12 Aveo sonic Cruze and more " so if the device can change the used PCM vin that would be great.
Sorry for the long story. Hope someone has the full coverage.
Thanks.

Thanks. I suppose that the required function is already included with the supported list. Or most of they ?

To change vin, you would use the scantool, this requires the FlashScan V2 hardware/handheld device (to communicate with the ECM), and the ECM must be listed in the Supported Vehicles list.

thanks guys, does the VATS and the late model theft deterrent operations can be performed with that scantool for these supported vehicles?

VATS you will need the tunetool because, for example with E38, there may be a VATS disable patch to apply, and then the VATS parameters have to be played with in order to get an out-of-vehicle start (e.g. this is what we do on the engine dyno).

BTW: the software (V7 scantool + tunetool, V8 scantool + FS config tools + soon tunetool) is free and can be downloaded from this forum or from www.efilive.com.

You can use the software to view logs and to view/edit tunes.

You need the hardware/handheld to read/writw tunes from/to the ECM.

Cool. So I will need only one hardware device (the EFI live flashscan v2) and the flash and tune tools are just different softwares to perform multiple operations.
Can't wait to get the device 🎊🎉
