Hi,

I have a version of OS that I can't find in .ctz. There's a function to import LML file.. I read the CM2350 with my tool but 4M file doesn't fit
in the import function.. Is there a way ?

thanks,
Marc

Not sure what tool you used Marc but there is additional memory in the CM2350B that is not contained in the main CPU 4Mb flash, EFILive is expecting that data to be there which is why it is probably complaining about your file.

Im using my home made tool to read it. I also have access to 'other' memory parts.. but the problem is..

1- Is the Import function allow the importation of Cummins files ( MPC,epr, fls ) or only E86A ? It will fix me on the rest..

The MPC memory in the E86 is 2M, the one in the 2350B is 4M.. The import fonction want it to be 2M.

thanks,
Marc

The import function was only for E86A with binaries read from Alientech.

Any way of getting around the complaining of file size, I get "file size does not match controller size". How do we extract the other data to make V8 happy then?

Thanks

don't hold your breath on this, you won't get any answer. I even contact their tech support and the guy didn't know what i was talking about.. yeah right... all 2013+ .ctz file come
from outer space... :blahblah:

I'll find the way how to do that...

Post your bin files up here then, I'll take a look.
There is a secondary CPU in the CM2350B that is required to be flashed too, if your tool reads that out then I can tell you where everything needs to sit so the software will happily load your file. We aren't trying to stop anyone using the function, the LML import tool was a different situation.

This is from the MPC. I'll get back to you with the other one.

Marc

This is a 4mb read. I get the above error when I try to open in V8.

Thanks,

Ok same problem on both files, the secondary CPU data is missing after 0x00400000 which is why EFILive is complaining, it can't flash the ECM with that missing.
If your tools can extract that then you are set to go (note: it is not the shadow block in the CPU, it is an external chip).

Is the data chunk that EFILive need to be happy start at 0x60000000 ?

No, that is RAM space, I'm not 100% sure if tools like Alientech can access it via BDM.

this is what I figured out after a second check.. I'm not using AT tool, but my own build bench tool, and im not using the BDM port.. so do you have the address so I can take a look ?

thanks,
Marc

I assume this is the 3rd out of the 5 data blocks then?

Thanks

No, the data blocks are only referring to the main flash area, 4 or 5 blocks depending on the vehicle (pick-up or C&C)
