wonder how i go about turning my egr off and dpf i do understand if i do it wrong or not right it can mess big thing up witch would be my own fault i have the exhaust and egr deletd to put on ive seached and seached but nothing really clarifies how to do it id like to learn how to tune it i have the efi live v2 and the truck is as 2011 2500 6.7 cummins any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated thanks

Emissions removal on 2010+ trucks is not supported by EFI Live.

I am interested in this as well. I too bought a 2011 Cummins that I would like to delete myself. I previously had an 06 Cummins that I learned to tune myself and would now like to do my 11. Any light on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

If you research enough you will find the path but you are coming into a public forum asking for files that map out stuff that is a federal crime to touch. Many many businesses have been shut down for what you are asking for, people heavily charged for doing what you are asking for. Like maybe that stuff isn’t appropriate to be asking for on an open public forum.

You’ll find stuff floating around being sold for cheap, I’ll just say be careful with all of it, it’s all very old stolen junk that isn’t done right and carries risk of damage to your vehicle to use.

I don't want to hi-jack this thread but I had a mishap with HPT and bricked my ecm. They cycle the ignition right after the flash and it cycled the grid heater and bricked it. Then I got the trusty V2 out and bought a license and flashed in a stock file I had. Now I'm back on the road but HPT won't re-instate my credits.

HP Tuners is pure shit. I don’t understand why people like it or think it’s great. A buddy used it on a 2019 he had, when he wanted to go back to mm3, the HP Tuners did something to his truck not letting him, only HP Tuners would write to it once it was on there.

Some guy in Florida bricked his cm2350b ecu with hp tuners. I managed to convert an efilive base file to hpt and managed to recover it. It's good to have base files from efi. After a successful recovery then he requested a delete tune, so I got him set up, and now the truck is back running great. Hpt is so risky when dealing with anything cummins related... can't say the same from Efi Live.

Not only does their shit brick a lot of ecm’s, they mislabel parameters, they address parameters wrong and they are too restrictive when it comes to user defined parameters and no ability to import bin files

Their customer service isn't good either. I made a mistake buying it. The only thing I can say remotely good is that I was able to read my stock file with it. Their smart access cable let me read it. I tried reading it with my V2 but it said it won't read in pass-thru mode. I'm not sure why I can't read it if hpt will read it. I have a bypass cable and their smart access cable hooked up.

Reading it out is disabled by EFILive on the 2010+ models

No it’s not dangerous to the ecm. Likely same or similar reasons to why they didn’t provide mapped out DTC’s and emissions related stuff from 2010 onwards

If tuning a cm2450 it will save you what, $200 once device and tuning credits are factored in and that’s only if it doesn’t lock up the ecm in rom boot and full out turn it into a paper weight

I’ve seen tons people buy it to read out an emissions delete EFILive CSP tune just to get their truck stuck in rom boot or worse with a corrupted HP Tuners file, or they buy it thinking they can just turn off emissions DTC’s and delete the emissions off their trucks to find that HP Tuners has those DTC’s blocked, which isn’t how it works anyways with deletes and when done correctly you don’t even touch the DTC’s for emissions. Seen tons of 2010-2012 trucks get locked up attempting to even read a stock calibration ecm. The 2010-2012 years are notorious for locking up the ecm in rom boot or worse from HP Tuners. If a person chooses to use that garbage shit the safest thing to do is buy a bench flashing kit, pull the ecm off the truck and read it on the bench and flash it on the bench.
