Hello,
Might be silly question but getting ready to finally tune with AutoVE as i will be able to drive on UK roads very soon.
My question is why copy Hi spark tables to Low tables?? I thought disabling MAF had no effect on spark?
For me, i have no knock sensors or MAF(YET...) but planning to install in future.
Regards
Gavin

Disabling MAF (i.e. causing a MAF DTC to show up) causes PCM to run from the LO spark table...

if you are running one of the COS's, this is not so (HI/LO adaptive spark is retained).

( FYI: note that misfire detection does not work when MAF is failed ).

Hi Joe,
i did post here http://ls1tech.com/forums/pcm-diagnostics-tuning/1854836-12208322-auto-12212156-manual-os-required.html
In your opinion do you think i should change to the manuel operating system first instead of the auto file i have?
I will want to go SD only and re enable the knock to get hi lo tables.
Thanks anyway for reply
regards

Hi Gav,

I commented on your LS1tech thread.

Also see this: Tunefiledepot-has-been-replaced (https://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?26662-Tunefiledepot-has-been-replaced)

If you have a manual transmission then go with a manual trans file.

Software file types:
old = .tun
new = .ctz
newer software can read both types (i.e. is backwards compatible), but saves to .ctz only (i.e. creates a .ctz file).
