Has any one tamed 350% exergys for street use? Is this possible?

For starters, how much should i cut the pulse width table down?

Any tips are greatly apprecaited!

Flow sheet is very helpful with tuning. Comparing stock vs injector flow sheet at mentioned set points can point you to the answer for your question.

Thanks for the reply. Tuning these injectors IS possible with good street manors? I think exergy will provide the flow sheet but I will make sure before I order.

Also with proper tuning, will these be mileage killlers if I can control my right foot?

Setup dependant but likely they will haze...

And again for mileage, I wouldn't count on them being great

what makes 350% exergys not daily drive-able exactly? Smoke? Surge?

I have a completely built motor, qsb pistons, carrillo rods, girdle, dual cp3's, 625, hamilton springs/cam/tappits/push rods etc
The only 128* spray pattern that exergy makes is 350% and I am trying to decide if i can handle these on the street. (i called around many places but did not find any with the correct spray angle)

QSB pistons? Pics?

Typically QSB are a marine bowl design that will accept the 143* BMS nozzle.

To my understanding you CAN run 143* but the hot spot lines up with the weakest part of the piston. Also I read that people like lavon have run 128* with great success and from what I understand it is easier to tune.

So what makes 350%'s not streetable exactly?

Sorry I was thinking QSB 6.7, not 5.9. Too early

can anyone answer why a 350% would not have good street manners?

They can have good manners, but they will haze

is a 350% the best option?

To get the spray angle I need I basically have two options
1. get 350% injectors (everything else stays the same)
2. convert everything to a 5.9 ecm and run late 5.9 injectors (this seems like it has great potential to be problematic and will be more expensive with the 1k conversion harness)

Other than the money for the ecm, harness and injectors, the cmb849 will give you everything you'll want, especially rpm

Well after initial research I find that I am stuck on step 1.

1. Order harness from fleece - (fleece no longer sells this harness)
2. Buy a CMB849
3. Flash 5.9 file with proper settings (some keys dont work)
4. Get 5.9 alternator (or convert the 6.7 alternators electronics to 5.9 so the connector will fit)

You called to confirm they don't sell it?

And what keys are you talking about in step 3?

Fleece said they have a few more left in stock but they will no longer sell the harness because you can now tune the 6.7 for higher rpm.
He also said that with compounds the 350% shouldnt be that bad.

The rfid chip in the key to start the vehicle doesnt work on some trucks (if i remember right its called SKIM in efi live)

You cannot get high rpm on the CMC controller unless you build your own cax.

And I've tuned several swaps without key issues
