Motor is a 2007 lh6 5.3l aluminum block flat top pistons, 243 truck heads, ls3 springs and cam, Brian tooley/comp .80 pushrods, ls2 intake, volant cia with ls7 maf, ls7 lifters, dod deleted. 2007 ctsv 6.0l e67 base OS 58x pcm. T56 trans 88mm Gen IV truck TB.

I got my low VE, and maf dialed in 90% of the way, thanks to members help on her, pervious thread. But faced with a New issue, this is preventing me from tuning high maf, and PE, seems to come in around 60-70% pedal position, and I get reduced power, and P1516, P2101. I can set P1516 to 60%, but EFi doesn't let me do P2101 (in the salve) Hp tuners can, but that's another 100.00 credit to the competitor, I do own hpt, but prefer to use EFI. Sorta a band aid fix though, lets try to actually fix the problem? Should I try and change the etc scaller, with past experience this can cause a reduced power and pcm processor fault message? Why does a 2006 SSR scaller differ from a 2009 Colorado etc scaller they are the exact same TB 88mm truck gen IV??

IDK what to set my etc up too? Key one full throttle np, so I think this TB will work isn't it only 2mm smaller? is this really going to make that much difference?

Are there any tables that show up in the tune file when you connect FSV2 to your PC (i.e. red folders)...?

I don't think so? No really sure? what you mean? You guys don't write the salve do you? I just maxed everything I could find related to throttle out, and that fixed P2101 but not P1516, I have hpt tuners version 3, and a cable, but it will cost me 100.00 in credits. They write the salve and you can edit P1516, just like P2101.

I have a program that will write the salve, if someone can tell me were the P1516 parameters are on the salve, and how to update the checksums, I'd be golden, I can work in hex, and write the salve.

P2101 equals PCM, P1516 equals salve its in the 12601915 engine salve, if someone has a AL2, and checksum info please PM me.

only red folders I see regarding throttle are response tables, and I don't see them being the issue?

I'm fighting the same issue p1516 since 2 months with LS1B
I did every thing also ordered New boosted NW102 throttle without luck
It just happened with partial throttle when the turbo spools
I hope aome body could help us

Ok so playing with mine, and I found key on engine of it even hits reduced power, after rapid pedal movement, trying a different tb!

Yours could be converted to cable tb? That would solve it, what os are you running? What pedal? Try a ls7 tb your problem is the boost pressure is probably physically blowing the blade open or shut more, ls7/lsa tb is meant for boost and rotates the other way?

I have experience wirring 8-6 wire and making non standard tbs work sometimes, it's a physical tps adjustment I make that works.

Try turning down your boost to bare minimum and see if it still gets p1516, I doubt it will.

Fixed set p1516 to 80% with hp tuners, and p2101 to 80% with efi live

Too bad I had to use hp tuners to fix the slave, maybe EFI will add the salve flash and P1516, in the future? I now know the hex address of the P1516 in hex.. wink, wink to a mod:)

Could I write a CAX for this? likely not write? because Efi doesn't flash the salve?

Is this a good thing to do, should I try a lower value, now that I know this works? It went full throttle several times now, no issues. ?

If you know the address/offset of the object and its attributes (format, size) I can help you write a cax file... study the attached example cax file (if you need enumerated values, I'll find another example).

I do know that info, but what good is it, if you can't flash the slave? It's on the second chip.
