Whats involved in doing a full flash from a differnt year pcm. For example, if I had a pcm from a 99 and wanted to flash it for a 2000, or if I had a 2004 pcm and wanted to flash it for a 2003? Will it matter what stock OS was in the car to start with? I have a 04 pcm and a stock 03 tune but differnt OS than it came with, if I do a full flash of the 03 tune I have with the differnt OS than the car came with will it work?

From what i understand you just go right ahead and flash it. The PCM is like a computer and you can load any operating system on it (Windows Linux - to use the PC analogy).

You will just have to be sure that it is a 512k or 1MB PCM that you need.

How do you tell the difference? Which O.S.'s needs 512k or 1MB? I know I've got a 512k PCM.

In the first screen of a tune there is the Calibration Summary. There is a field called "PCM flash" which has the size of the PCM required for the image.
